They don’t have the budgets or social/political “heft” of the people wrecking the planet. Was it not ever thus? But then they also let huge amounts of talent slip through their fingers via shitty meetings, stupid goals, unmanaged expectations and interpersonal feuds. Sometimes this is given a boost by Cointelpro/Spycops style operations, but sometimes it’s very homegrown.
